Hard to argue with that statement, isn’t it? As stated by Bill Nye (you know, the Science Guy), “We need scientifically literate voters and taxpayers for the future. We need engineers that can build stuff and solve problems”.
Yet the 46% of Americans recently polled who state that they believe in creationism are doing just that. Watch his video that wades straight in to the national ‘discussion’ about evolution and creationism in our schools. How we teach science in this country directly impacts our kids, and the skills they’ll have to meet the future.
Personally, I applaud Bill Nye’s efforts to speak out in favor of teaching real science. Let families reconcile the science with their religious beliefs, but give the kids the real facts to work from. What’s your take on this?
