Birthday Party Decorations- Center Hall Creativity

Hallway Decorations

Beautiful center hall colonials now have their very own kids birthday party decorations scheme – using that stairway up to the 2nd floor. And it uses JUST the stairway, so there’ll be no trespassing onto that forbidden 2nd floor by your young guests.

Colorful balloons lining the wall up the stairs makes a joyous statement as your guests arrive. This immediate eye candy helps get them in the festive mood for your party. Helium filled balloons on colorful curly ribbon strings work great, but regular (cheap) balloons you blow up yourself can be easily attached to your stairway wall with tiny bits of double sided tape or the ‘easy-on-paint’ tack up squares. Keep the pretty string hanging from the balloons even tho’ they serve no purpose with air-filled balloons.

Posters relevant to your party theme tacked up on the walls with the balloons adds even more ‘fun’ to your party décor. Poster cost money – BUT you can download relevant graphics and print them out on regular paper size, and just use more of them. The kids can even take these home as part of their party favors.

Complete your decorations with your take home favors laid out on the steps, perhaps each with another balloon (helium filled) attached. Big, bold and colorful names on each favor will complete the rainbow effect. The dollar store buckets you see in the photo look wonderful.

At the top of the stairs, create a lattice-type barrier with colorful crepe paper (and the easy-on-the-paint tack squares) and perhaps more balloons.

Thanks to the Pink and Green Mama blog for this (and MANY other) great ideas. You can also see all our ideas for kids birthday party decorations on our website.
